Young Professionals Group at the Ronald McDonald House

The Young Professionals for Ronald McDonald House group was created in January 2003 by employees of many local Cleveland businesses, between the ages of 22-39, to help raise awareness and funds for Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland.

The Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland is a home-away-from-home environment for many families while dealing with a sick child or loved one. The House provides a place where families can draw additional strength and find stability when their child is seriously ill from volunteers, staff members and other families staying in the House. The Ronald McDonald House, not only provides inexpensive housing, when medicals bills can be increasing and hotel accommodations are out of the question but also the emotional support through a "family" network.

Since running a household gets expensive The Ronald McDonald House Young Professionals group was created to help keep costs down for families. The House charges $20 a day to stay when in return it cost about $80 a day to upkeep each room and community areas. The YP for Ronald McDonald House has a mission to increase the awareness about what great things are happening within the House along with keeping the charge for families down to stay and get the emotional support they need while dealing with a serious illness.
